Melanie is the founder of What A Mission, which she started in 2014, two years after completing her masters in Social Entrepreneurship from Goldsmiths College in London. Since then she has worked in various roles within the sector such as social startup coach and mentor, social enterprise consultant, workshop facilitator, community- and incubator manager. She currently works part-time for the Network for Teaching Entrepreneurship (NFTE) and self-employed as lecturer, trainer and workshop faciltator for schools, universities and non-profit organisations in and outside Germany. She co-founded Social Innovation Meets School and she is the initiator of the photo project Spotlights On!. At What A Mission, she focusses her writing on social entrepreneurs from Germany and African countries, social entrepreneurship ecosystems, and entrepreneurship education. From time to time, she also shares personal experiences and insights from the field.
