A program for young change makers from African countries and Germany
The Autumn School for Sustainable Entrepreneurship is a program for young change makers from African countries and Germany, organised by the ASA program within the framework of the African German Youth Initiative (AGYI). The format was launched successfully in 2016 in Berlin and I had the privilege to be part of it.
This year’s Autumn School for Sustainable Entrepreneurship will take place in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania from 23 – 27 October and is organised in close partnership with Ashoka East Africa. The Autumn School 2017 is aimed at sustainable entrepreneurs addressing climate mitigation or adaptation issues who are interested in maximising social impact. The format is particularly suited for entrepreneurs who are in the early implementation phase of their project. Up to 25 participants from African countries and Germany will be selected.
The format offers a unique combination of the ASA program’s expertise in the field of global learning and intercultural exchange on one hand and of Ashoka’s extended know-how regarding social entrepreneurship issues on the other.
The participation in the Autumn School is free of charge. The ASA-Program will bear the expenses for travel and accommodation (for 6 nights) for all selected participants. Participants will furthermore be assisted with the organisation of their travel and accommodation and with their visa application process.
